Den of the Seven Bears: 3 BR / 2 BA house/cabin in Pagosa Springs, Sleeps 8

We drove up from south Texas to have a white Christmas. The house/cabin was in a great location. Lots of snow and a nice yard to let the kids play outside in. The cabin had all of the necessary items to make you feel like you are in your own home. If we are ever back in this area we will definitely be booking here again.

The fun loving and high quality decor, as well as, the thoughtfulness and generosity of the owners made this a memorable week. The guest appreciation basket was a great treat as well as the owners blackboard listing of restaurants and local activities. This is a lived in cabin retreat where the guests are invited to use the owner’s bikes, games, kayaks, condiments, etc. We enjoyed the Pagosa Baking Company for breakfast. The Pagosa Brewery was a casual treat. For an evening meal we enjoyed the Lost Cajun.

Randy, the property manager, was beyond helpful through the whole process. The house was perfect for our group of 5. The bikes were a perfect touch! We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Cozy house, perfect size for our family of 4

Great decor, newer appliances, gift basket & drinks were a thoughtful touch, bed on main floor is on the soft side and the window blind was missing, quiet neighborhood, perfect location between town and family in Aspen Springs, neat gas stove-oven (once we figured out the trick to lighting the oven), we would suggest turning up the hot water heater for guests. We loved staying at this house, and would recommend to others!

Charming And Comfortable

The house had lots of extra entertaining activities and options. The bikes and the rafts were so wonderful! The grill was used frequently and loved.

An Awesome place to stay, Great location to everything!1

If I was to complain about something,It would be the fact that there was no place throw our garbage away. We cooked every day and found ourselves with an over abundance of garbage and no convenient way to get rid of it. Other then that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt the kayaks and bikes were such a bonus.

Family Vacation

The "Den of the Seven Bears" was the perfect place for my family and I to vacation. The cabin is so well kept while feeling peaceful at the same time. Every single person in our family felt the cabin and location couldn't have been beat. Michael and Michele are truly the nicest people, and were more than accommodating to our questions about our trip. The surrounding location is simply beautiful. We enjoyed the bikes while riding around the lake looking at the beautiful views. The Kayaks were very convenient to catch the sunrise while being on the lake. Our family enjoyed the spacious deck of the cabin playing games and telling stories. This cabin in Pagosa is a trip my family and I will never forget. We hope to return one day. This place is a hidden gem!!

Family Vacation

We stayed at the Den of the Seven Bears over a week for our family vacation and it simply was amazing. The cabin met every need of our family while enjoying the sites, sounds, and beauty of Pagosa. We were answered promptly by Mr. & Mrs. Berndt about a few questions we had concerning our upcoming trip, they're truly so kind. The cabin is decorated so beautiful. The feeling of being in the mountains of Colorado is truly reflected by the "home" feeling of the cabin. Our family created memories at the cabin using the living room and deck for game nights. Our family enjoyed the bikes going on morning rides. I couldn't have asked for a better cabin for our trip. We rant and rave about returning to the Den Of The Seven Bears one day soon. This place is the top pick in our opinion for a family trip. Simply the best!

Family Vacation

We stayed at The Den Of the Seven Bears for our first family vacation and had the best time! The cabin exceeded our expectations. They have anything and everything you could possibly need some of which included kayaks, bikes, backpacks, and more that I’m probably forgetting. I absolutely loved that they even had brochures and suggestions on things to do in the area. The cabin is very clean and spacious and close enough to run to town if needed but far enough away to feel secluded. We enjoyed grilling on the deck and the fact that they had a washer and dryer was awesome since we have young kids that go through clothes quickly. Don’t let the fact that there’s no air conditioner steer you away because you do not even need it! We had the windows open all night and the breeze felt amazing. The owners of the property are so nice and answered all of our questions.
before we even asked. We definitely plan on returning as we have very fond memories of spending our first family vacation there.

The Cutest Cabin!

Just stayed at The Den of the Seven Bears and loved it! It is adorable, spacious, and comes with so many extras. We rode the bikes on the nearby trails, had kayaks and tubes for the river and even backpacks to hike in to the Piedra River hot springs. Each night we cooked on the coolest antique stove or grilled out and coffee on the covered deck each morning. The beds were super comfy, we could bring our dog, it's very short drive to town, and there is even wi-fi! I highly recommend The Den for a great stay in Pagosa Springs!
