DO NOT park on the street. DO park on the left side of the garage or in the driveway.
DO be sure to keep the front door, deck door (glass or screen), and both garage doors closed (otherwise you might
have some uninvited animal guests). Please DO lock the sliding deck door and the front door any time you leave the

Smoking and fires
Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted indoors. Fireworks are never permitted in Archuleta County. Check fire
ban status by calling (970)731-2160 before having any fires (in designated firepits only); even when fires are permitted, the
fire department must be notified at this number before starting a fire. DO enjoy the gas fireplace by using the remote
hanging on the adjacent wall.
Please DO respect your neighbors. Quiet time starts at 10pm and goes until 8am.
We have radiant floor heating. Thermostats are located in the bedrooms and the entry way. The thermostats should be
set to a comfortable setting (in the winter, 64oF in the master bedroom, 66oF in the guest bedroom, and 68oF in the entry
way; in the summer, 58 oF). Manual changes to the thermostats will take at least 24 hours to take effect. If you adjust a
thermostat, please DO return it to the recommended set temperature before you leave. DO NOT turn off any of the
DO open windows and the sliding deck door on clear evenings. DO NOT leave windows or doors open all day or if you
leave as it tends to warm up and/or rain in the afternoons! (In order to keep the place cooler, you may want to close
blinds during the sunny days as well.)

Each TV has a DISH remote control that can be used to turn on the TV as well as access Netflix via the home button. If
you want to access apps other than Netflix, you can do so in the great room by using the home button on the Samsung TV
remote (the skinny one with the directional pad above the home button). You will need to have your own subscription to
access Netflix, Amazon, etc. DO remember to logout of your accounts when you check out. The other remotes may be
found in the drawer of the side table next to the chair in the great room. The largest Samsung remote controls the Blu-ray
player. The smallest Samsung remote controls the sound bar. To play your music, you can connect to the sound bar via
Bluetooth. Also, there are over 30 music channels on DISH for your enjoyment.
DO help yourself to the cookware in the kitchen but please DO NOT use the items in the lower cabinets to the right of
the fridge. DO use plastic cutting boards (located in lower cabinet next to fridge) for meat and wooden cutting boards
for non-meat items (bread, vegetables, fruits, etc.). Please DO NOT use wooden cutting boards for meat. Please DO
NOT use metal utensils on cookware that is not stainless steel. Please DO NOT dishwash wooden items. Please be aware
that the switch located above the trash can (beside the kitchen counter) operates the garbage disposal!
Please DO use the gas grill but be sure to turn it off. There is a manual in the wide kitchen desk drawer. Grill utensils and
lighters are in the drawer next to the kitchen sink. DO enjoy the shade of the awning over the back deck that opens and
closes using the crank. Please DO NOT leave it open when you are not on the deck, as wind gusts can come up suddenly.
The clothes washer in the laundry room is new in 2018 and is under warranty. If you have any issues, call Sears at
(800)469-4663. Please DO leave the washer door ajar (there is a magnet on the door that will hold it partially open).
DO leave your full bags of trash tied tightly in the large trash container in the front right corner of the garage.
Manuals for the new washer, new gas grill, coffee maker, etc. are located in the wide kitchen desk drawer.
One door in the master bedroom and the storage container in the garage are intentionally locked and store owner
Please DO take advantage! Watch or take a hot air balloon ride in the morning. Walk, run, or bike the numerous paths.
Hike the Piedra Trail or mountain bike at Turkey Springs. Downhill or back-country ski at Wolf Creek. And don’t miss
out on the deepest hot springs in the world!
Please DO NOT make beds that have been used. DO leave beds made that have not been used. Please DO leave clean
towels hanging and throw used towels in the bathroom in a pile to be laundered. Please DO make sure all windows and
doors are closed and locked and all lights, fans, TVs, etc. are turned off. Be sure to logout of any accounts (Netflix, etc.)
you have used on the TVs. Please DO check that the propane has been shut off to the gas grill and the grill has been
cleaned and covered. Please DO check that the awning has been completely retracted.
